"wanna race?" Your best friend Rainbowblitz asked you suddenly, as you and him were sitting in Cloudsdale.
"Rainbow~ You know you'll win...." You sighed. Rainbowblitz was fast, his name said it all. He was the fastest, and strongest pegasus in Cloudsdale, but he still hung out with you.
"Well, hey. You could beat me if you wanted to." Rainbow lightly punched your arm in good humor. Seeing you still in a bad mood, he added on; "If you win, I'll give you a prize."
Your face lightened up a bit, "Really? what is it?" You asked, suddenly excited and looked up to Rainbowblitz. He just blushed.
"Can't tell you~ you'll find out if you win." He smirked, and made his way to the edge of the clouds, jumping off and floating up.
"Hmf. Fine! You're on!" You yelled, and sprang off the clouds, doing a summersault and landing next to Rainbowblitz.
As you two prepared for the race, you gained a few onlookers. One pegasus stepped up with a small, multicolored flag.
"On your mark....."
You tensed your wing muscles.
"Get set...."
You looked over at Rainbowblitz, he gazed at you, seeming to drown in your eyes.
"GO!!!" You raced out in to the sky with a burst of speed, and kept flying, not once looking back. The clouds whipped past your face, some you had to go through. It was a beautiful day, and usually you and Rainbow would be enjoying it, instead of having a silly race against each other. Bringing your attention to where Rainbowblitz was. he was right behind you, just keeping up. He caught your gaze and grinned. You expected a trick, so you just flew faster. The starting point was not so far away! if only..... if only you could win..... just this one time...... all the Pegasus's were cheering out your names, but the loudest was yours. Rainbow was landing on the ground, as you passed the finish line, and you realized all the pegasus's were cheering, for you HAD won.
You were surprised, but never the less looked over to a smug Rainbowblitz. He walked over to where you were standing.
"Your prize, miss." Rainbow smirked, and kissed the side of your mouth sweetly.
You blushed 0000122344456278 shades of red and that just made his smirk grow even wider.
"Love you." Rainbow whispered in your ear before kissing you like there's no tomorrow.
